Jewish-Russian Cultural Alliance (JRCA) is an affinity group formed in August 2015 under the auspices of The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples (JFGN).
JRCA Mission is to serve as a central base for and provide social, educational and cultural enhancement to the Jewish-Russian community of SWFL.
JRCA Membership is open to Jews from the former Soviet Union, their families and friends, who are moving to or visiting SWFL and are seeking connections.
We are a group of friends/potential friends, who do not discriminate against one another because of different geography, politics, outside affiliations or ethnicity.
“Jewish” in our context is an ethnic, cultural and religious reference. We place importance on Jewish, but no preferential status to any denomination is extended.
“Russian” in our context is a linguistic reference, regardless which former SSR attendees come from. And just because we have that language to unify us.
JRCA Cultural & Educational Programming includes material and performances particular to our culture and traditions. Maintaining high standards is a must. We welcome your ideas. If you wish to create an event, you must present a clear plan and be prepared to offer administrative assistance.
JRCA Annual Events are Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah, Purim and May 9/Victory in Europe Day. Unless otherwise specified, they are on Sundays from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Nina Iser Cultural Center.
No JRCA events take place on Shabbat or to conflict with any other Jewish Federation calendar observances.
Whenever possible, JRCA participates in the JFGN events. Stay informed by opting in for JRCA and JFGN email lists, volunteer and help whenever you can.
JFGN Annual Membership fees are $72 https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E329924&id=25. Members receive a photo-ID badge, home delivery of Federation Star and access to many cultural programs.
JRCA Annual Membership FEE is through JFGN at $18 pp: The JRCA Annual Fee helps to pay for JRCA administration and printed material costs.
JRCA Event FEE: $10 per person per event, payable in cash or check at the door unless otherwise indicated.
We take photos and videos during our events. Please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed and/or have your photos posted to Facebook and in The Federation Star, the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples monthly publication. Opting out of one will opt you out of all publicity.
